Its about a family brought together as they have genes of a evil god that was eventually killed. so the plan is to make a happy family so those with the genes would not want to end the world.
the family consists of a mother with cat ears and tail, with the ability to send radio waves and control ppl and drive ppl insane ^^", a father who doesnt know how to love, the only one who seems logical in the family, a gay guy, and a girl who is in love with this guy, a poor cute little girl, with a lion to protect her, a robot that wanna destroy everything, a jellyfish that.... doesnt seem like a jellyfish? unless jellyfish eats sushi and floats around the air?
Well, its quite a good anime, and its a novel, not sure if its been licensed yet, but the anime got me interested... anyone thinks it should be translated?
P.S. waiting for 1 and 2 to deliver, locating 3 and 4, obtained 5 and 6 at a treasure chest in a local bookstore...

If you could, add in the synopsis, publisher, and any other relevant information about the work including an image of the cover. This helps greatly with getting a project underway.

It starts off well, but then quickly careens into the hysterical world of ineffable happenings... Er, in other words, it gets too crazy, and in a way it's quite formulaic. Trouble, links with a certain family member's past, resolution, rinse, repeat. This is just my opinion though
*Sips tea* Been awhile since I posted here. Anyway, I've been watching the anime, and frankly, I love it. And not just because of the electric-butterfly/terrorist-bomber girl. Though Raichou is awesome. Formulaic it might be, in a way, but I really do enjoy it. Enough that if anybody wants to get it translated, I'll be glad to do the Proofreading myself (yes, I have experience; I've worked with Baka-tsuki before, even, on Zero no Tsukaima).

Anyways, red, comparing the novel and anime, i find the anime more interesting... But i have only read volumes 1 and 2 (in chinese) so i cannot comment on the later happenings. In the novel, things seem a little more plain, and not that special. So personally I don't really enjoy it all that much.

@Shadow: I wanted one for my Signature. Anyway, I understand that not everybody might like the series, and ultimately, we all have different tastes. Never any shame in just saying you yourself don't like a particular series. I'll read basically anything that isn't shounen-ai (at least, not serious shounen-ai; it it's comedic like Aoi House...) and likely enjoy it, so I'm able to work on a lot of different things. I haven't read the Ln version of KKN myself, but I am interested in it.

Well, actually i am very similar in that sense... I enjoy reading anything that isnt shounen-ai, or actually i just havent tried shounen-ai maybe? But no matter... selection is impt when u dun hav all the time in the world to read them all T.T
So many novels, so little time...

Yes, I know it ended. ~.^ I don't read shounen-ai simply because I'm a straight male, and I'm not interested in seeing two guys making out. Kyouran Kazoku Nikki itself has a rare character exception (though I think he technically has Gender Identity Disorder...), so even if Ginka is creepy when he's acting weird, I'd work on this.
That looks like a good signature =X its better than that Dokuro-chan. The size of that Dokuro-chan is more suitable for an avatar =X
Kyouran Kazoku Nikki's Ginka isn't involved in shounen-ai really ^^" he is too chained up(literally) by Chika to have any shounen-ai =X

Well, the personality's there, and that's usually what I count. XD And Chika makes it completely tolerable. The entire female cast, actually, is one I find rather entertaining, including the jellyfish and Shinigami-san... Ah, well. It's a shame the anime's nearly done, though.
Episode 26, it ended already. I just have to wait till my torrent finishes, then i can watch it ^^
The female casts are all very interesting, though i don't really enjoy Kyoka that much =X
