Re: Project suggestion: Boogiepop
Even if people could ocr the books, it would help a translation greatly and they could even start a machine translation. I'm up for the task if nobody is interested, though I'm making a pdf / ebook version of the novels which are available in english, I've got the first one done already.

@Chillock machine translation usually produces the worst results, so a machine translation probably wouldnt get the approval to become a wiki project.
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

Yeah I know, though I did finish ocr'ing the english released novels and put them into pdfs and released them on the net. Though I really wish someone would at least attempt to translate the novels.Darklor wrote:@Chillock machine translation usually produces the worst results, so a machine translation probably wouldnt get the approval to become a wiki project.

In regards to Chillock about the translation, I've posted a comment on your blogspot site under the Boogiepop Novel 6 post.

Re: Project suggestion: Boogiepop
Is there any possible way that the rest of the Boogiepop series might be translated? I've seen mixed messages on this board, and I created an account here just to voice my support for a fan translation.
Boogiepop's been my favorite light novel series for years, and not knowing what happens in the later volumes has always driven me crazy. I have other friends who love the series as well, and we'd all be forever grateful if this was something that could ever happen.
Also, according to their tumblr account, Seven Seas has released many of its licenses pertaining to Boogiepop, and have absolutely zero plans of ever continuing it.

I know it's hard not know what happens next, but it just seems no one is interested in translating it. Though someone did make an attempt on the next novel ages ago, I tried searching for it but the blog on which it was posted on has since been deleted. I'd be up for doing a machine translation, but that takes far too much time.MiyuMiyu wrote:Is there any possible way that the rest of the Boogiepop series might be translated?
