Another great novel. Thank you for translating! We finally get to see Kyon lose his cool. I'm amazed he lasted that long. It was nice to see some more details on how the movie was made. Plus, we finally find out why the cat Shamisen talked. It's also always nice to pick up small details about the relationship between Kyon and Haruhi. I guess Suzumiya likes to tie her hair up when she is alone.

I thought it was pretty disappointing. A WHOLE VOLUME and almost no new developments in plot, nothing much new on haruhi's powers, on the origins or purpose or whtever of each of the 3 supernatural characters nothing. I kept reading expecting something to happen but most of the text just focused on the making of the movie which gets very boring very fast , just stupid mundane stuff of how crazy haruhi is and how she torments asahina and how kyon gets annoyed, repeated every chapter and we already knew this from before. Like the person before said kyon lost his kool was the one major interesting thing but it kinda also wasn't that new and the only interesting thing was that haruhi tied her hair when she got depressed. Basically a whole novel for just a few good things is ridiculous.

Got to disagree with that last poster, I'm afraid. Personally I loved the fact that last time, the entire world was at risk as God grew tired with Her creation, and this time they had to make a film! But then you have the whole thing about how to stop her from changing the world without tellign ehr that she is a risk to it!
And as for th edevleopment of characters, there's tons of it! Mikuru's warning to Kyon about what Itsuki's been saying, Yuki saying that she doesn't care much if th eworld gets changed, asl long as Haruhi stays in it, the revelations about the motives and origins of Yuki, Mikuru and Itsuki, and each person claiming that the others may be lying, or that they themselves may be!

I believe Haruhi tied her hair while subconsciously (or even consciously) trying to please Kyon. She probably got that curry bun for him as well (Haruhi eats her own meal in the cafeteria). However, Kyon entered the room too suddenly and Haruhi "snapped" and went into "defensive mode" instead.ArGus wrote:We finally get to see Kyon lose his cool. I'm amazed he lasted that long.
