someone said the back of the book says something like:
"Meet Kon, the guy who sits BEHIND haruhi in homeroom."
if Haruhi was always poking him and stuff from behind...who sits behind whom? or is this just someones idiotic comment? can anybody check it by reading the back of the book? lol...translation blurp O_o

Yay. My copy arrived today. Shiny hardcover--and the original cover, not the $#$%#$ version on the paperback.
Haven't read it yet, but it looks nice.

lol..I said "Kon."......Haruhi isn't Bleach....O_o
lol. Though you'd think they'd get the "where he sits" translation right, just from watching the series, and stuff...oh well. I want the softcover, but from japan costs/shipping is pretty expensive, when I want to buy some japanese novels still...Dragon Crisis!, Spice and Wolf, etc...hmm...if I didn't have to pay shipping though.../sigh

In the actual novel, they do get the "where he sits" translation right. This is just the marketing blurb on the back, written by some idiot who probably didn't even spell the name right the first time through. I'm quite satisfied with it. I plan to buy them as they come out, supposing they do come out. In the nice hardcover edition.
I do with, though, that they hadn't put the manga-chapter in at the end. I can understand that in a trade or paperback, but it really cheapens the hardcover.

Yes, there is a paperback version. You don't get the original cover art though.
