Is it okay if I just go ahead and start on it?
KanzakiAria was active on the wiki just a little over a week ago, though it was on a different project. So even though his talk page implies he won't reply, you may want to leave a small message there. I can't imagine there would be a problem with you taking over, but I guess it's polite to try to ask. But really, as long as you add yourself to an open spot on the registration page, it should be good enough. It's unclear to me if chapter 1 is done or not, but KanzakiAria is registered for that chapter, so if you were going to take over and complete that, then that's the one case were I would say at least trying to ask first is required.

Good luck with your translations!

Did I hear that volume 11 is the final volume? Is that true?

not too sure, but I am sure that the commonly labelled volume 10 is the concluding volume though. The 11th volume might* be referring to the short story for this series. Again, not too sure about why there is 11 volumes though.

Don't worry about me... Anyway, my new account is called Nii-sama even though I use KanzakiAria for its Translator permissions.

Also, to answer the question,

Can just ten volumes end a Shuraba story?

I hope that answers your question.
