On a random note, I was re-watching the anime and remembered that the the ガーヴル人 (Gaavuru-jin) are actually given an official translation in one episode as "Garblian" (from planet "Garble"). Wish they gave a translation for Barunmuu (バルンムウ) that was a bit more 'Englishy' then the romaji that everyone uses. :?

If the BDs didn't sell well enough, or the anime didn't bump up the sales of the novels enough, or it didn't sell enough other merchandise, then there wasn't a reason to make another season.

Granted though I recall there was another Eris figure released this year I think; so it might just be a slow-burner in terms of popularity. Though I'm surprised they didn't chase the Okinawa tourism board for partial funding for another series; the first one was pure scenery pr0n. >.>

Also I did 'rename' things to "Asobi ni Iku yo!" since that's the spacing that most everywhere else on the internet seems to have agreed on. (The page name probably should be renamed to match it at some point too...)

Incidentally the quote from v1 in the prologue's prologue (which hasn't been translated as far as I can see):

「お腹(なか)が空(す)いているときに、ラヴィオリが出たら、たとえステーキを食べたくてもそれを食べなさい」
映画「旅情」より。

Comes from the 1955 british movie "Summertime", and relates to this quote:
"Renato de Rossi: You are like a hungry child who is given ravioli to eat. 'No' you say, 'I want beefsteak!' My dear girl, you are hungry. Eat the ravioli."

I must admit I'm not quite sure why the author used that quote... though it does make almost too much sense knowing the plot of the first volume, and the plot of the movie, and the context of the quote; but if you've never seen this old, relatively obscure british movie it really isn't going to clue you in. :? I wonder if this movie is particularly famous in Japan or something?

Anyway, might be worth a footnote at some point.
Its a Hepburn movie, so its maybe not that obscure...?

I guess?

Then again, I'm not one to watch all the filmography of favourite actors/actresses (annoying gendered noun).

Katharine Hepburn, not to be confused with Audrey Hepburn.

What do you want to say with that?

Its true that there a two different Hepburns, but both are well known movie actresses with at least one Oscar and other awards.

Nothing more than what I actually wrote.
I had no clue there were a Katharine Hepburn active at the same time as Audrey Hepburn. So using only the surname did confuse me, since I knew of one and not the other.
