Rain looked so much like bigger SAO Kirito though, he's just missing the dual blades

Oh, thats your translation? - So you had no interest to create a wiki projekt for that?

Is this project dead considering the last post was ages ago and there is no further update?

A friend of mine is interested in translating this and asked me to ask around and help with editing and stuff if she decides to go through with it. I m just checking around if there is anybody else interested or if there is an ongoing translation in process. I will let you guys know if this goes through.

There was a project here, but it seems that it's stalled.

Yeah, i am aware of that translation project. But the last post on that blog was on December 25, 2012. Not even a year since then. It's kinda hard to draw a course of action in this case.

I am guessing BT translators aren't interested in translating this considering there were hardly any updates on this thread and it seems that the other translator is awol. I wish there had been an update ın that blog notifying the stalling or dropping the project. Guess need to wait and see.
Anyway thanks for the heads up guys.

Well, actually there aren't any "BT translator" at all, it's just guys, like you or me, who are willing to translate something they like to share it with others and since BT is a community aimed at such translations, it's more user-friendly to do it on the wiki.

So if you're interested with a friend of you, it's really cool, it would take me five minutes to create the project's page on the wiki and then it's up to you ;)
Did you read that : New Project Petition Guidelines
So :
Is the series unlicensed in english?
Do you already own the RAW? In which language?
Do you have a willing translator? Is he registered on the forum?
If yes, he should come here to confirm his interest.

Obviously, you need to be agreed by a supervisor, but this shouldn't be too much of a problem now, there are now enough active supervisors. (Misogi is one, for example.)
Only then you may have your wiki page and start posting your translation 8)

So, that's about it. :D

Yeah, I haven't put up any posts since December last year, but I'm working on translating the last chapter...just school started and with work and other stuff, it has made it really difficult...(>_<)

If there is still a lot of interest in the series though, I'll move it here to B-T.
Seems like there would be a lot more readership anyway, and for a translator, having people enjoy a story as much as you do, is really what makes it all worth while.

But I don't know too much about wiki format stuff so...(>_<)

Nice ^^

It's not a problem, but since there are other interested people, it would be great to do it on the wiki and having you working together, wouldn't it?

Well, in that case since you already translated almost a whole volume, it shouldn't be a problem to get it approved as a project!

If you need any help with the wiki, I may help you.
I can create the pages so that all you have to do is put your text inside using the "edit mode" :)

Yeah, if you could go ahead and create the page then, I'll add the first 4/5 chapters once it is up.

That would be a huge help (^_^)

Do you need anything like a summary for it, or can you use what is already in this forum?

Well, for English projects, approval is more complicated. It's up to the higher-ups (while I'm specialized in the alternative languages).

Anyway, Krikit, I've read Rain a long time ago, so seeing that it would be moved here may be a good chance to read it from the beginning.

Do you need supervisor approval to create a teaser page? I was under the impression that you did not, as long as you had at least a little translated content to put on the page. That's what the "Novel Teaser initiative" thread made it sound like to me. Though the project guidelines don't really mention teasers, so maybe I'm mistaken. So I would have thought you could create the teaser page to provide a place to transfer the current translations, and let any new translators start. Then request the proper approval as a full project at some point in the future.

Anyone can create a teaser. It's the full project approval that need the higher-ups' approval.

Since the project has the required complete chapter, it won't take too long before it's added in the sidebar (proof of approval).

Wow, so it is still an active project and might get a wiki page huh. Well, in that case, it might make it a whole lot easier for interested people to take part in it. Since this is an active project, we might be a part of it or choose another project we are interested in translating. Frankly, it's not up to me. I am subject to the whims of my translator friend :) and i don't know what she will decide. I find translating very hard and brain wrecking job and consider the translators inhuman with the work they do. Honestly, pondering about what word or sentence structure fits with the actual text best is kind of above me. I might help out with editing though. However, like i said before, it's not really up to me :)
