Yes, that's where I got stuck. I'm not sure whether to keep "Saintes" or find the original word where he derived this term.
Winter's the time of the year,
when the cold chill the skin,
from the very within,
but you grasped my hand,
your eyes shedding a frozen tear.
Our eyes met,
and warmth filled the air.

Vaelis wrote:In the Japanese raw of volume 1, it was メートル: meter.

In volume 17 it's "十サント": ten "saintes" which doesn't make any sense.
It probably means 10 cm but the author is again using weird terms.
Isn't that "santo" not "sante"? Anyway, it's possible he's just mangling センチ to be サント to provide an 'otherworldly' feel (and not accidentally implying the dictionary definition of "saint"), under the assumption that people will react like me and have the thought process of something like: "十サント? You mean 十センチ? Like, 10cm?".

Since in the context it appears, they're talking about a height difference in people and that's the right units to use. (Well, unless you're an engineer or an architect in which cause you'll use 100mm, just because. :P )

One of my thought was indeed that santo was a "diminutive" for centimeter.

Had there been agreement on Sylphid's other name? I've seen both "Irukukuu" and "Illucocoo", I think. Or a mix of both.

I like the former, personally.

Is the names and terminology page in bakutsuki updated along with the wiki?

I've seen in latest vol. 16-17-18 that although volume 16 ch. 10 is called "Elemental Siblings" (as the anime subs) in laters volumes translators are using either "Siblings of Elements" or "Elemental Siblings", and the naming convention says nothing about this. So, with what we will be going? IMO "Elementals Siblings" sounds better.

Hello braiam! Thanks for pointing that out! I already changed that name from "Brothers of the Elements" to "Elemental Siblings" as per the anime. Also the 'holy war' to 'crusade'! I'm editing some chapters before the new volume is up.

Hey, I noticed in Vol. 17 Ch. 9 "Two Canes, One Crown" there is someone named Isabella. But I think her name is actually Elizabeth, because that's the name of Tabitha's cousin, and what the anime uses.

Hello Windwalker! Her name was not in the Naming Convention so I'm not really sure what to use. But I'll ask Kamijou Jon about it. For now, I'll just use 'Isabella' until the convention was made. Thanks for noticing!!

My believes, from reading all the names in the naming convention, is that each character naming from each nation is after europe mid-ages. And is as follows:
Romalia uses italian names.
Tristain, Albinion and Gallia uses french names.
Germania, Guldenhorf uses german names.

Hence following this logic, Isabella is the french equivalent to Elizabeth (english), so Isabella should be the correct name.

BTW, I've noticed that the name convention says Giulio Cesare for Windalf but in some places we are using Julio. Giulio is Julio in italian but the implications of his name in italian indicates that he's from Romalia.

Also, the side story character intros plainly states Joseph's daughter's name is Isabella. http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index ... S1-006.jpg. Dunno why the anime would change it, though.

*Sorry for double posting, but my last post was from last year.
Hey guys, I have questions about the name of elves.
Project Guidelines use Rukshana as the name of the female elf, but the anime uses Luctiana.
Guidelines list his name as Ali, but the anime uses Ari.
For now I use Luctiana and Ali because the previous chapters used those names, but Volume 19 has a chapter named "Rukshana's Oasis." I don't really know which one is official, hah.

Then there's two elves who I can't figure out the name for in Volume 18 Epilogue. I'm using the Chinese version so obviously the names aren't as close to original.
There's Yiduolisi(伊多利斯) and Madafu(玛达芙). At the end, the novel reveals both names:
"Listening, Yiduolisi and another elf beside him, Madafu, started laughing together."
("伊多利斯和身旁的另一名妖精……玛达芙听罢一同笑了起来。")

With respect to Vol22, the term Ancient Magic should be replaced with Firstborn Magic.

Also, we need to regather all the special terms used within the series and consolidate them again
