finally the episode 1 is out! But it felt so short...

I find it hard to believe that the anime which took such a long break between season 3 and 4 actually manage to overtake the light novel translation from the first few episodes... (the translations of volumes other than 13 do not count)

I hope hope the Apprentices of Teh_ping finish their training soon and become full sith lords

Well, it was something we were expecting... since this is the final season, they're gonna cut a lot of things from the novel. Just hope that they make a good ending for the series.

I too felt that episode was too short... but just seeing the gang back together after 4 years, I enjoyed every minute of it. I couldn't stop smiling for the first 5 minutes of the show... and yes I laughed really loud when Louise exploded Saito for the first time, it was really nostalgic seeing the scene.

Now my question is will Siato end up as BOTH Louise's and Tiffa's familiar?

I heard that at some point in the novels, he becomes Tiffa's familiar... but I can't cofirm the veracity of that information.

Regarding the anime, I don't think that he will become her familiar (not yet anyway)... after all they didn't even sealed the contract. I think it was just something to justify Tiffa's feelings and add her as a love rival.

But it would be funny to see him becoming a familiar for both of them...

The thing is though that part one of the contract was completed when he went through the 'gate' though.

Yeah, there's that too... sealing the contract would be just a "formality" then (just like when Louise re-summoned Saito during season 3). Going by that logic... I think that next time Tiffa tries to summon her familiar, Saito will appear.

Can't say that it would be a bad thing for him... Tiffa certainly would be a more "caring" master, not to mention she has certain "atributes" that are extremely appealing for a male partner

And it is a bad thing Saito being the familiar because of the role that this kind of familiar is supposed to have. Not sure if I should talk about that because it supposed a bad ending of that wonderful LN

You talk about the part where they went back to louse's home after saving Tabitha? Well that was in season 3 where they messed up the order of several events in order to make the tabitha rescue as the season climax So they could no longer put that part.

by the way how can you guys know such spoilers? Did you read the untranslated novels?( in which case I feel very envious) Or you learned them from viral rumors like the whole "Snape kills Dumbledore" thing?

It wouldn't be the first time the mix up the chapters and volumes like that. Remember in the first season (episode 7), when they go to the Charming Faries Inn? That only happens in Volume 5 of the novels (which was supposed to be on Season 2 of the anime).

On the second part... you can find synopsis of the volumes online. Even on youtube there are a couple of videos with synopsis of the story up to volume 20. But I think that some people here actually read the original novels, in that case I feel envious too

My curiosity got the best of me, so I went looking on the web and some foruns about Tiffa's familiar (on the novels). Seriously, if the story ends with that it will extremely dissapointing... c'mon, Saito and Louise deserve a happy ending after all they've been thru :'(
