Alt. Language Forum - Important Announcements

Due to the restructerization of the categories, all new and old Alternative Language Projects are asked to have either "Light novel (Respective Language)" for full projects or "Teaser (Respective Language)" for teasers as their category.

Nothing else.

It is currently being worked on, so don't be surprised when the categories of your projects are being altered.

ADDITION: To clarify: No other categories BUT the above mentioned are allowed. And one step back: The category "Hosted" is for now all right to be added to, well, "hosted" alternative lang. projects.

Thank you.

IMPORTANT EDIT: I would like to ask representative people of the other languages with sub forums to post a similar announcement in their respective language and forum. Thank you.

Here is what I've defined, from all the information I've collected:

Validated (with 1+ volume translated) and active project:
- No tags (neither Pending, Teaser nor Stalled).
- Add category "Light novel (Language)".

Validated (with 1+ volume translated) and inactive project:
- "Stalled" tag.
- Add category "Light novel (Language)".

Validated (1 chapter at least, but less than 1 volume) project, active or not :
- "Teaser" tag.
- Add category "Teaser (Language)".

Hosted
- No tag.
- Add category "Hosted Projects".

Not validated (basic requirements not fulfilled):
- "Pending" tag.
- No category to add for now.

If I'm wrong somewhere, feel free to correct it.

I know that there's only two categories, but knowing on which projects they should be put is what I've tried to clarify.

Oh well, a small relativization: "Hosted" might be all right as a category for Alt. Language projects.

I'll use this topic for an announcement regarding the FSB.

In order to maintain order and constant activity in the Alternative Language Forum, a complete reorganization has been requested for 2014.

It was validated and applied last night, so here are the new members and promotions:

- SoulTranslator is promoted to the FSB's leadership (or Council of Ten, for those who want a name).
- cautr, Devenk83, vallor and Tony Yon join the FSB's leadership.
- Cindynka, cucundoweh and Sacredus join the FSB's members.
- Nurin was supposed to join the FSB's members, but he was forgotten. So I've manually added him.

This comes with responsibilities, so you must fulfill your task to its fullest.

If you want to change your default group, you can do it, of course.

Thanks for your attention.

Here comes the second reorganization of the FSB, approved by a majority of its members.

To sum it up:
- No changes on the leadership... for now, at least.
- Seven members are leaving the FSB, due to various reasons and a need to reduce our ranks.
- Still, we need new active members. That's why popocatepetl and victorrama are promoted as FSB members.

Think of it as a honor, and be sure to fulfill your task within the ALF.

The default group can be changed at will, it's up to you to decide.

Thanks for your attention, the next phase is scheduled for 2015.

----

Before I forget it, there's a poll for the new title of the FSB members.

All foreign translators and editors should leave the "Project Translators" and "Project Editors" groups.

Instead, they can make a request to join the "101 Annex Edit-Translator Battalion" group.

Thanks for your attention.

what about the one who translated & edited both from english language and foreign language?
is he/she can retain all groups memberships, or must choose one of the groups, or leave other groups except "101 - AETB"?

Those who're working on English projects can retain the Project groups corresponding to their functions.

Think of it as the replacement for the Tsukaima Legion. Basically the people that do stuff outside of BT but are still BT affiliated. (OR it contains the majority of the TLCers). I don't know what Oni does anymore.
