Seiyuu Radio shows

Post by kuroi_shinigami »

Lately, I'm getting hooked on seiyuu radio shows, especially when Tomokazu Sugita is the main personality(what they call MC in Japan radio shows) or guest. He really is interesting with all his perverted joke and otaku reference. I wonder if anyone else in these forum like to hear seiyuu radio shows like me since this is also a good way to train your ears in listening Japanese language , not to mention hearing your favorite seiyuu's voice as an added bonus if you're a certain seiyuu fan(I mostly only only hear it to train my ears though  ) :D .

BTW, for people who has never tried listening for one but is interested, I recommend the bururaji channel, a radio shows dedicated to promote the game blaz blue. It's freely distributed on niconico douga(some of the episode is also uploaded on youtube, just search for bururaji) so you won't have any difficulty finding it. Although it's heavy on advertising, the game that they do on the show is really amusing.

Instead of Seiyuu one, I used to be very hooked on most of what's on Lantis (for promoting anime usually), and even ripped my favorite shows to listen in my ipod. This may be surprising, but my last one was IS radio show, with Hikasa Youko and "I forgot who". LOL
Yes, I'm quite a fan of Hikasa Youko ever since listening to her voice in K-ON. I've pretty much stopped after the IS one.

I remember listening to seiyuu radio shows along with NHK news everyday during commuting when I was preparing for Japanese exams. Yeah they are excellent for training listening skills.

I only stopped when they become much harder to rip as individual files to be played back on my phone. I am not that good at multitasking and won't be able to concentrate on my work if I listen to online radios at the same time.

Personally I love to listen to shows by Masazumi Asano. Not sure if they are still going on, though.

Personally, I will sometimes tune into a couple of Japanese radio stations on my computer or phone through http://www.tunein.com, which allows you to listen to radio from around the world. I did hear a morning host once make quite a few jokes about being drunk because of his somewhat random and wild behavior on the show. It was funny.

If I could listen to seiyuu radio shows, it would be interesting to do so.

Thank you for the tips. Do you happen to know the seiyuu that are available at those sites?

Well, I only listen it at home at night before going to bed since the internet connection here is not so good to enable me to hear it on the road so I don't need to rip it or anything  although I agree that having the ability to record it will give me more flexibility to hear past episode of my favorite radio shows I guess

BTW, here is the site that I use to listen to seiyuu radio shows http://www.agqr.jp/
