I'm probably not the one you're thinking of. The only thing I'm related to is is my own writing blog, unless you know me from another blogging site where my url would be 'kumagawa'. Incidentally enough the sage you are speaking of is the one that sort of made me into an editing freak, so there you go.
I'm sure I saw you somewhere. Must be someone else taking that username (I mean "Kumagawa") on IRC. Oh well.

Editing freak? That's good, lol, because BT desperately needs editors. Any help would be welcome. :D

Hi to all, just another lurker looking to settle down and lurk less (maybe)

Been lurking here for god knows when hahaha. I anonymously edit some minor errors in some light novels (used to edit a lot on touhouwiki and acecombatwiki). Fluent in english, caveman-tier in japanese

My light novel tastes are wack since i never delve into one genre. Basically, i like anything that piques my interest
dediced to join due to the release of hakomari6 haha

Well i got nothing more to say thats that interesting anyway so lets stop here

See you around

Hi
I'm new here, and have been considering doing some editing work for a few series, but have been too lazy to start.
Already working as a proofreader on manga scanlations in several groups (village idiot, for the halibut, s2s are my main groups).

Hi everyone ^^, I'm GlacialisD and as you can probably guess *Dun Dun DUN* I'm new here. I'm 19 years old, born and raised in the Netherlands, and thinking about joining the SAO [BE/NL?] project as an english-dutch translator. -although I can do a decent grammar-nazi impression if anyone needs an editor- Well, actually it isn't SAO I desire to translate, as much as just wanting to try my hand at translating in general, but seeing how it's the only Dutch project at the moment... Yeah. lazy me, not all that excited about the prospect of starting up an all-new project.

My hobbies include gaming, writing and reading. I'd have included watching Anime in that, but recently I'm kind of 'Meh' about it. I guess I'm -finally- growing out of my cartoon phase. I have no such qualms about manga though, and light novels are as entertaining as they've always been. I guess because it's easier to tune out some of the aspects I don't like, or find ridiculously overdone. There's also time restraints I guess. In the time I use to watch a single episode, I could have easily read several chapters. No such thing as fillers too, which is almost always a plus.

Hmm... Am I forgetting something? I don't think I am.

Personally, I won't regard animes as cartoons, but if that's what you take it as, you suck. :P

Just joking, man. Welcome to the big family. We are definitely in need of editors, so it'll be great if you be an editor too. I heard Jasou needs one editor...pm him or me if you're interested. Anyway, animes have their own art, and the script or the plot is rather a minor(?) facet. That's why I'd love to watch the animated versions of light novels even when I have already read the novel. Some animes are unsuitable for some ages, so while you may claim some animes being too dumb or childish, you may also be uninterested in some animes because they're just too sophisticated for you to understand. Well yeah, call me childish or what, that's the last thing you'll do before you lose your chastity (?) :o

Losing my chastity? Been there, done that, nearly traumatized my partner and we luckily didn't get the baby.

*cringes* Did I just make the anime/cartoon comparison. *bangs head against wall* My younger sister must have gotten to me more than I thought, because it's the same thing I used to chew her out for. Yeah, I suck for that comment. You're totally right about that.

I'm not saying there aren't any good anime. It's just that when you get past the 'dumb/childish', and have waded through the series that almost solely consist of pantyshots/ginormous jiggly b**b**s with little to no ('original') plot there's little left among the remaining ones I haven't watched before in the 9 years I've been at it.

And while rewatching some old series is nice every now and then, and good 'sophisticated' series are still being aired, my interest for that particular medium simply has wittled down a lot as a result. I haven't stopped watching entirely, but I just don't enjoy it as much as I used to. :(, hence the 'growing out of it' part that I could have worded a lot better.

Anyway, back to business. Doesn't Jasou edit for Pet Girl of Sakura Dorm? I Can't say I've read much of the series -the first two chapters only-, although that could be changed. Currently I have my eyes set on another project though, so if I decide to do it, it will unfortunately probably be somewhere in the not so close future.

Jasou has two projects at hand. The other one is about a loli. I know you'll love to edit this ones since you have a sister of your own...well I wouldn't say you own it literally as in she's your possession.

Hi Sammie. Do you speak German? SAO rocks! I read the first volume 5 times already! And I can spell the names of kirito, asuna, lyfa, etc. backwards already!

Just joking, I didn't read sao five times. To me, SAO is well...  (*whispers 16 + 0.5*)

PS To be honest, I can't spell their names backward...
