Northern Ireland isn't a home nation of the United Kingdom.
Half of votes for the political wing of a terrorist group, and it isn't ruled directly from Westminister.

And we do play football, it's just all our good sportsmen go into rugby or G.A.A.

hey hey, don't shoot the messenger.......

mind you i'm a wee bias, since i've had Northern Irish flatmates when i was in university, and they kinda had a UK streak (bit obviously since they studying in England). Anyway all im saying is that its considered a home nation because its always shown during the weather reports, and that if i don't celebrate i have to down my pint of the nasty black stuff.

but anyway, enough political, and lets just celebrate a win for a *home* nation, because i'm still bitterly disappointed by the double lose of Scotland and England.

And don't mention Wales, because those Welsh are a sensitive lot......
