How to prevent other people from using your computer.

Post by Beware the talking cat »

So, I was thinking about how difficult it is to read upside down, and I though I might practice getting good at it.
My first thought was to just read books upside down, but I realized that I don't read books as often as I used to.
So I thought I might instead rotate my monitor upside down, that way I could practice all the time.
And I realized, it's the perfect way to keep other people from using your computer; they won't be able to do anything, as they won't be used to it.
(rather than physically rotating the display, I just set it to 180 degree mode.)

Sorry, I just thought I'd mention it.

... I thought you were really speaking of it from the aspect of security as in preventing hackers from gaining access to your PC or whatever that might be.

Is it so hard to buy one of those finger print readers off the internet?

I mean like, what's the point of preventing people from using your computer if you'll have trouble reading stuff off of your own computer?

Cool avatar TGM!

Why not just put a password on your bios and lock it while you're away?

No need to mention about the bios, what about the logon screen. No set passwords?

Besides, BTTC, some people can just get through your "flip the screen" idea... no, not "some," MOST. So I suggest you'd better settle on password-protecting your PC and locking your PC even when you go for a leak or just to sip some fresh air from the balcony.

It's not that hard just takes time... Alternatively you can simply get really thin paper write normally and then look from the other side.
Can I say something about destiny? Screw destiny! If this evil thing comes we'll fight it, and we'll keep fighting it until we whoop it. 'Cause destiny is just another word for inevitable and nothing's inevitable as long as you stand up, look it in the eye, and say 'You're evitable!'
