Recruiting Translator for Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei subs!
That's right, we're going to break BT into the fansubbing world. At the moment, we're mostly prepared for everything, but we're lacking a translator.
Please post here if you're able to translate, if not we'll hunt down a clannad translator or 2.

Don't have a lick of fansub experience besides the several thousand hours of watching them, but I've got a fast machine and know my way around mkvmerge and VirtualDubMod fairly well (and what I don't know I can learn), so, if you're softsubbing at least, I can encode. I can always QC, of course, but I think half the forum has some experience in that... ^_^
And let me say that this is a hella fine idea.

Hi! I'm that lurking shadow who only posted twice or three times, but I'm watching silently! It would be interesting to see what you guys come up with on a fansub. At least reading the Haruhi novels were fun. (I just added Haruhi to this spell checker dictionary... it doesn't know important words, duh...)
To stay on topic, I make a fansub for this anime in Hungarian. I'm translating directly from the Japanese, but I use the original manga that I've bought in Japan last month, when I can't make out something. The problem occurs when the part is different in the manga, which happens a lot. At that time I can make the part out after listening to it repeatedly for an hour... And have I mentioned that English is far from my native language? And that I need the dictionary a lot for the Japanese? And when I say a lot, I mean even more. (I'm mostly fine with the grammar though.)
So to make it short, I'm not sure about this, but if you can't find another translator, then... well, maybe. I translate it to Hungarian anyway. I have only finished the first two episodes yet, but I plan on doing the rest too. So... is it fine with you if we make this in about two or three months?![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

1) Post this in the thread with the same name as this in the Future Project Suggestions
2) We've already started translating episode 6 and 7, but thanks for asking anyway.
