Re: Macross Frontier!
Hmm... but what I till now heard of the songs didnt really impress me. (They sound for me sometimes as if the singer couldnt really sing at all.) For me are many of the songs from Minmay, Macross II and Macross Plus still some of the best.
Please don't mind my bad english since I'm german.

I for one enjoyed quite a bit of the music in Macross F.

Re: Macross Frontier!
Ah maybe I got it wrong and did confuse this series with Macross 7. So have now seen the first episodes of Macross Frontier and yes they are not that bad. In every case its better than Macross 7. (Macross 7 was too much fantasy for my taste - battle directly with music as they did in Macross 7, bah.) Even the sound of the songs is ok, again not like in Macross 7
But can it be that they use many old songs from Macross and Macross plus? (Ask question only for confirmation, not to judge...)
(btw. I wish Macross II would be canon. I nearly liked this series as much as Macross (or should I say Robotech? Because this was, what really did get me at the beginning. ) itself.)

I watched around 8 episodes of this before deleting it from my hard drive. I feel like I'm watching the condensed version of Gundam SEED, except with prettier graphics.

Re: Macross Frontier!
Gundam was never my cup of tea... So I think I would always prefer Macross over Gundam maybe even 7Umiman wrote:I watched around 8 episodes of this before deleting it from my hard drive. I feel like I'm watching the condensed version of Gundam SEED, except with prettier graphics.

Re: Macross Frontier!
Start with Macross I ? But probably it would look to old for you... since it is from 1982...
The Movie from 1984 is a retelings of the series...
Macross II is from 1992 (but its not included in the officially Macross Chronology)
Macross Plus 94/95
That is what I could recommend, because I have seen and liked those, also I liked always the music , but that doesnt means that you would like those too...
