I watched the first episode of Rio - Rainbow Gate. I already can see that this series is going to fall flat on its face, despite the fact that the premise is somewhat different. Formula for Rio appears to be the usual fanservice with a main character who wows everyone and has an annoying sidekick running around chasing them. I will say that Crunchyroll picked up a "thumbs-down" series for this one. I was hoping for something different. I got that. Unfortunately, it just does not seem to be any good because the potential for any plot seems to be zero, and the main character, despite being an awesome dealer, is too "nice" and falls into the stack of other stupid anime girls. Also, some of the scenes are just downright corny and tacky. 4/10

same here.. frankly, at the time i was speechless, words aren't enough to describe how wrong it was for me to even bother watching it..

oh well, that's 1 series out of my tentative 12 to-watch titles, gives my HDD a bit more breathing room..
