Your Favorite type of characters and least Favorite

I like the glasses-wearing, book-reading, Nagatoesque characters who look moe on the outside, but are severely powerful under that cute exterior.

It isn't the most common of character types(I've seen only about 4 or 5 characters who really match it), but certainly my favorite.

Since Seth was talking about Jigoku Shoujo, I decided to give it another go (I stopped at episode 8 the last time). After watching episode 10, I have come to a conclusion that Psycho Lolis = Moe.

I like the characters that don't say much, don't do much, but when they do, they rule. I think Pino from Ergo Proxy is my all time favourite. Hatori (fruits basket) and Yuki (Haruhi's Yuki, not the fruits basket version) are also pretty cool.

I like the characters that show that they have a clue of what they are doing and just do it without complaining a lot about it. I know this is VERY general, but that is about all I can think of right now.

I HATE characters, especially male characters, who are the wimpy, whiny characters who serve no function whatsoever and can still get a girl/boyfriend! I think of a few like Mamoru from Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! and few the first 10 episodes or so of Eyeshield 21 Sena.

HolyCow, I seem to be writing your name a lot today, but thanks for the link. Actually, just before you posted that, I went and voted. Although I found some of the characters there annoying, I did not find some of the most annoying on the ballot in my opinion. Oh well...
