Devil May Cry

The first part of Arkham was rather simple, it was until Vergil joined you and stopped you from Devil Trigering that made him annoying :\

Agnis and Rudra are bloody easy, especially with the Cerberus weapon and spinning move (what's it called again? Pinwheel Revolver or something?). Once you knock the bloody sword out of their hands, they're big chunks of meat for you to feast on.

Even without Cerberus, countering them at the exact moment is simple. If you're having trouble with it, go play the first mission and fight the Hell Revenant. Learn to parry his Scythe at the right time, and you should have no problem with Agnis and Rudra.

Most of the DMC3 boss fights were bloody easy. The only one that I found challenging was Vergil3 (and maybe post-Vergil Arkham and Cerberus due to your low stats when you first fight him). Other than that, Agnis/Rudra, Nevan, the Horse, Heart of Leviathan, Beowulf (Except his annoying feather attack, which ALWAYS hits you), Gigapede (LOL), Doppelganger (Double Lol) and Lady (Triple Lol) were too easy.

Of course, if you need vital stars to even beat the bosses (maybe with the exception of Vergil3), then.... :\

the solution to almost every boss in DMC3 is royal guard style. However, I really suck at doing that against agni and rudra

I hate Royal Guard. I usually use the Swordsman (what was it called again?) style, but sometimes switch to Trickster (especially against Beowulf, since dashing will protect you from almost all his attacks).

does this take place before or after DMC1?

when you use royalguard are you just guarding everything?

Answerers in order!

Most devils don't turn into sand, only the sins in DMC3 do because they are using sand as a medium instead of bringing their full body.
There were people in DMC2 and 3, just not that many because during those times were major catastrophic events so they were mostly eaten or fled.
Dante has always liked strawberry sundaes, if you read the novel thats basically the only thing he eats aside from pizza and steak
Dante has informants, customers, and random people who want to kill him visit his shop. If you've read the manga Enzo is one of Dante's "managers" that goes and gets jobs for him. The little girl is the first permanent resident other then Dante and Trish that I've seen
This takes place after DMC2 probably because in the previews you see the red haired girl from DMC2
Royal guard isn't just for guarding, if used properly you can one hit kill everything aside from bosses with counter. Using counter you can even take out a good half portion of a boss's life and while guarding your devil trigger bar goes up insanely fast, it takes a lot of good timing to be good with it though.

anyone SS'd any missions in DMC3?

it was changed to Devils Never cry for a short while, but if you look in DMC2 he changed it back.

If you mean SS rank, I haven't. But if you mean SS (or SSS) combo meters, then yes. A lot (not including the blue orb statues).

if this anime takes place after DMC2 shouldnt Dante be in DMC2 costume rather than the DMC1 costume?

so Vergil wont make an appearance in the anime... or wont have a voice anyways... hope he has some sort of mention though...

Not quite sure about the SS mission rank, but I'm pretty sure I've never gotten it before. S rank is probably the highest I can go, I usually end up with an A.
