There were some episodes that didn't revolve around comedy though. Like Ep 12-13 and 25-26 focused more on the romance aspect, while tossing in some comedy here and there to lighten the mood.

Well, while Seto no Hanayome has a plot, I would say mostly that it is one of those series where it is best to turn off your brain, kind of like Hare Guu.
