I can't believe you guys are arguing about physics for a cartoon. The closest possible real life explaination for this bomb would be an anitmatter bomb. Anitmatter and matter annihlate and give off light which fits what seems to happen when the bomb is set off. And even this is a far off explaination, currently there's only nanograms worth of antimatter in the entire world and it took massive amounts of energy to make just that so to make enough for a bomb would require resources beyond even Britannia's capabilities.

The problem here is that you are assuming that Brittania would care about limited resources, given the fact they are an expanding empire. If Brittania does not have the resources, just go take over the country next door. That is how it has worked historically speaking (in real life).

If we were arguing, it would have been like this:

"Code Geass sucks."
"No it doesn't, n00b."
"Yes it does!"

We're going like this:

"Code Geass sucks!"
"Yeah it does!"
"Totally!"

I really dislike anime that attempt to be mature by using confusing and convoluted explanations to try and justify themselves... like say... Death Note and Monster. Code Geass doesn't really do this TOO much, but it still does quite a bit. The prime example would have been those silly bombs they used.

Could you please clarify where that came from? I am afraid that I am not quite following you, given our current train of thought in conversation. :?

He did it in Appleseed too, so just using his name was all-inclusive.

It's the internet. Conversations don't particularly need a reason to exist. Though you can click on all the spoilers and see the relative coherence.

Though I was kinda joking when I said, "Code Geass sucks". So don't get yer knickers in a twist.

Ghost in the Shell movies did that A LOT... that's why I didn't really like them. But the anime toned it down.

I am not upset or anything. I was seriously merely confused. I know that the internet is very random. However, forums usually tend to follow a train of thought that I just did not pick up there. I understand that many anime out there seem to just say whatever they want without any real reason behind it. However, I try to look at those kinds of series from either a socio-political or philosophical perspective.

I really need to watch Appleseed... The name sounds so intriguing. Appleseed. Appleseed. Appleseed. Reminds me of House.

Reminds me of a lanky man in overalls and carrying apple seeds in the 1800s.

Just for helping the explanation of antimateria (not sure about the english term), I think that kind of bombs are more like a wormhole that takes what is here near the bomb to some space hundred of lightyears from here (that or next to your house;;; who will pay for a plane to go to britain if you could go walking HA?)

Even so, if you want to analyze with real science something extrange, maybe you should take a look to lancelot's core (that cube spinning like crazy), maybe is somekind of multiprocesor sending different signals to each of those sticks pointing at him.

(Me +5 points reviving some post evolved to something strange xD)

If it is indeed some kind of microprocessor, you would be correct in that scientists are working on something of the sort right now. I have read about it in an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) magazine, if I remember correctly. It is pretty interesting and complex stuff. However, quantum computing seems to be the next step.

That spinning cube you see is Lancelot's power core. I believe it is made out of Sakuradite. The battery pack supplies the necessary energy and the core multiplies the power to drive the suit.
