Gundam 00 is a must watch for its animation and action sequences.

I never really got into 00 due to the story.

I never got into because I had been going a little too Gundam-crazy at the time.

I like the story in 00 but not the ending in the movie. But story aside, having watched about half of the titles, Gundam 00 has easily the best action sequences. To be fair, it's HD and technology in animation has advanced a lot (presumably), and I also assume a good budget since no repeat frames were used and HQ animation used in the particle effects. But even taking those aside, what made 00 really shine in actions is the very fast pace action choreographed, especially in season 2. The fights are awesome (and I'm not referring to something like seed mode Kira in Strike Freedom blasting away 1037532 mobile suits) with excellent BGM used.

I will have to keep that in mind.
