I do not think that lolicon is equivalent to pedophilia, but the line between the two is very slim. It can be the difference between being a closet pervert and an open door pervert in a sense, but that does not mean that all lolicons are perverts.

See, this is where it gets tricky, and really depends on simply how you view it.

Completely 100% definition wise, yes, a lolicon is someone with an attraction to young girls (pre-pubescent [9-14], pubescent, and post-pubescent).

Not necessarily. Whenever one says "loli" they generally think 2D, when someone says "pedo" they think 3D. (To knowledgeable people.) However, most people view "loli" = "pedo" = 3D. So, it just all depends on who you're talking to on whether it's the same thing.

No idea. In the culture here, yes, they are equal for some random reason. (I don't hold them equal, but many do.)
