Honestly? I never found Saber and Shirou to be a good couple anyways. It was like, I dunno, taboo? After all, she's a spirit of an ancient king.

When they censored out the ero scene in episode 15, I just lost interest in more SaberXShirou. When they went for the date in Episode 19, I didn't feel anything. When Saber said "I love you" in the final ep, I didn't feel anything either. And in the very final scene, I actually felt relieved that she could finally rest in peace after so many decades of fighting (Remember, she took part in the previous grail war 10 years ago. You know, the overly used Emiya-saves-Shirou-from-certain-death scene).

The borders of stalking and otaku-ism thin ever thinner.

The FSN game is supposed to be much better :) And one of the endings has Saber staying on with Shirou.

well it was the music, it was great, and i to be honest you can really feel the love between them.

mind you if i was playing the game, i would rather go for Rin, tsundere FTW!

but the music was what gave that scene that little bit more that nudge my tears, and seeing Saber finally sleep...

But i still hate those traditional Japanese tragic love endings, really pisses me off.

But for some odd reason i really liek seeing them in real films, which is why i rate "Gladiator" pretty high....

but i see too many of it in Anime and it pisses me off.... arrrgghh...

The borders between S&M and otaku-ism thin ever thinner.

I think developers believe that sad endings are what make a good anime.

There are also studios like Sunrise who decide that "Hey, let's go for a happy ending instead, even though it's totally cheesy!" and ruin shows like Mai-HiME.

And yes, I'd choose Rin over Saber any day. I've got a small model of her sitting on my desktop, along with a miniature of Eri from School Rumble.

Like oni said, Tsundere FTW!

Dude. Sunrise. Cowboy Bebop.

That's not a happy ending.

Think Sunrise and I automatically think Mai-HiME and Otome, mainly because they screwed up the ending by making it so unbelievably cheesy.

I watered up a little near the end up Mai Hime. I was honestly expecting a Gantz like ending where everyone was good as dead. Surprised me that they actually all came back.

I thought them all coming back was a Gantz ending.

HiME's ending was plain bad. The last fight scene with the Obsidian Lord was laughable, and the "everyone comes back" plot was just cheesy. Otome did have a slightly better ending, but it didn't have that drama HiME had.
