Anime that diverted from the manga

Post by ainsoph9 »

I am just curious as to exactly which anime series have diverted noticeably from the manga at one point or another. For example, almost everyone knows that Naruto and Bleach did a whole bunch of filler in the anime when they got too close to the manga. Another example would also be that Rurouni Kenshin diverted from the manga for the last arc, which angered me to no end. Can anyone think of any more series that they have run across? I kind of want to make a running list.

GANTZ made up an entire new mission for the anime and ended up butchering the whole ending :?

Elfen Lied ended prematurely too...

Let's hope Claymore doesn't... :\

Hmm . . . Bokurano. It was toned down a whole lot. The anime is so light compared to the manga.

Black Cat - Whatever happened to the Railgun, Black Cross and Black Claw?
Nagasarete Airantou - They skipped about 3 volumes of material with episode 11.
Negima - Crappy ending to the adaption of a great manga.
Mahoraba - What? No confession?

Inuyasha - Haven't watched the whole thing. Actually, haven't watched more than 10 eps. There is way too much filler. And what was with the ending?

Shana - Not from a manga, but ended to early. There's a season 2 though.

Zero no Tsukaima - No explanation needed.

GTO somewhat diverted from the manga to make for a quicker ending. The reason I'm mentioning it is because the manga is 10000000x better than the anime and must be on everyone's must read list.

Chobits apparently had a completely different ending to the manga.

And Card Captor Sakura was different too, more cards etc etc. *shrug*
