This anime so far has been consistently good. Yet, one thing keeps on bugging me.

I get the feeling that Wakaba never really died. Somehow, something keeps telling me that Akane is an amnesiac Wakaba grown up. It would explain why Akane says that she was sickly when she was younger. Drowning can do that kind of thing (cause brain damage, physical after-effects, etc.) It would definitely explain why they are so similar in character and tastes in guys. Some of the similarities seem too striking for them to be different people. I know that they have stated that Akane is not Wakaba, but I get the feeling that might be their shock talking, in a sense.

Any thoughts?

I always thought the dilemma was that Akaishi and Kou never really reach out Akane because they didn't want to date a girl who looks like Wakaba but also whose traits are like hers too. Is like guys who want to date girls but they have this prejudice that she has to be like the 1st girl they liked/dated / ideal girl to fit in. like a replacement. so i'm sure they want to keep distance while remembering Wakaba's dream.

1. She drowned at a swimming school, surrounded by people.
2. How would her family not have found out, and why would she not tell them?
3. It would just make everyone watching the show unhappy.

what is this a new formula or something? make an anime while the manga is still in works but end it at the same time? toradora 1st did last year with the light novel. Now we gonna do a double ending for both cross game and FMA: Brotherhood?

Not much of a surprise. Almost everyone expected he would end it at 160 since the number itself is so symbolic in the manga.

Aoba will fall for the guy who can throw a 160 km/h fastball and Koh can never seem to officially throw a 160 (it's implied that he did in ch. 158 but the speed was never shown)

It's one of the things that the manga empathizes and I believe the anime doesn't really focus on the 160

I could also spoil the promise Koh made to Aoba just before a certain game but meh

His name is Koh, yes, but that looks awkward and middle eastern. Kou is a much more natural looking way.

The manga ended so well that I'm going to add Adachi to my list of the best shounen writers
