HnG could probably stand a reboot of sorts. The movie really messed up the continuity of the story, I think. in a lot of ways for those who have not read the manga, which I have not. The same goes for Negima and a few other series. It is fine to add onto the story, but please make it coherent with what happened in the past, especially when the last thing made was years ago.

This is not a reboot anymore, otherwise it would be unfaithful to the story's timeline.

I completely agree with you. Why can' they just animate the Athena arc for a season 3? It just doesn't make sense.
