Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X - Watched this when I was 6 with my dad. Kinda old, but left a really strong impression on me.
Pokemon - BECAUSE WHY NOT. In all seriousness, this is what got me into all my current hobbies: math, video games and Japanese culture.
Gurren Lagann - BECAUSE WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!? :P
Cardcaptor Sakura - (Please don't judge me.)
Fate Zero - Philosophy and "battles". Fun.
The World God Only Knows - End of Season 3; THE FEELS.
Monogatari Series - I really don't get what's going on in here. BUT I STILL WATCHED IT. AND IT WAS FUN.
Sword Art Online - What REALLY got me into anime, late last year, when a friend recommended it to me. Say what you will say, I thought it was good until I started watching reviews of it. Also introduced me to the world of Light Novels.
Accel World - One of the few series which featured an antagonist I ACTUALLY HATED. Go figure.
Toradora! - Feels, slice of life. Yay. [Watched before I read the LNs though]
Oreimo - Ouch. The Season 2 OVAs killed me with feels. [Watched before I finished the LNs]

I'll just base it on this.
