Dilemma! Shipping costs:

2-4 days = $27.98 + Idiotic Import Fees Deposit $15.21
6-22 business days = $10.48
9-36 business days = $6.98

To be honest I'm leaning towards waiting for a Dad LA Business Trip(TM) and living without the online discount...

On a related note, I have a strong feeling that my region free player is going to bum out on me in this instance. Good job I’ve got some region switches left on my laptop…

Ouch.

I can sympathize a bit, though. When I ordered two copies of Haruhi Vol. 9 out of Japan they were US$4.32 each and ~$23 shipping.

Figured I might as well get two since the shipping didn't change. :/ Ah well, I never buy anything for entertainment value, usually, so I guess wasting a little money on useless crap now and then is alright...

$4.32? As in four dollars and thirty-two cents?

Damn, I thought living in Japan was supposed to be expensive.

Manga is hella cheap there too when compared to their English translated counterpart. Paper quality isn't up to much, but it makes them a lot nicer size to carry around....

Now if only it wasn't for all those pesky squiggles they insist on putting in those Japanese books.

At ~200 pages, it's more like a thick magazine than what most people would consider a book.
