I've been having this strange problem with utorrent in which after it's been running for two or three days, it starts to make my system slower and slower, making it impossible to do other things while it's active.
When this happens, if I restart, it's immediately fine, but it's still a bit annoying.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? Is there any way to fix it without rebooting?
(edit: I looked at the problem a bit more carefully, and surprisingly, it is the CPU usage. Now I'm even more confused, as I can't understand why would cause massive CPU usage(I mean it's at 100% with nothing else running.))

Although this is probably unlikely, your copy of uTorrent might be leaking memory, depending on how many torrents are running. If you are downloading over 30 torrents, you might be having this issue, but I seriously doubt it. If you have a memory leak in general, slow down is almost guaranteed after a while.
