Brass Restoration

Post by Umiman »

Erm... I don't really know what it's about yet as I'm only halfway through. It's *probably* about a guy who wants to find music in his life or something.

Here's what I know about it.
1. The main character is probably clinically insane.
2. I don't understand what the heck is going on... the bookstore has clerks with guns, a rock shot from a a window can cause a catastrophic fire, mansion security systems that kill people with poisoned darts.

It's so funny trying to figure out how the heck the protagonist makes his insane illogical jumps of decisions. You're given choices in the game, just like any other visual novel... but the choices make no sense! E.g:
a) Could it be Amuro?!
b) It's that!

a) ....sigh.
b) ......

a) I can't get to the mountain because of the strong wind.
b) Double typhoon.
c) Look for a way with my multi-eyes.
Here's an example of the dialogue:
The birds wake me up. Still drowsy, I listen to the birds chirp while looking up at the ceiling.
"Eat-us, chirp."
I see, I'll do that next time. I reply to the birds in my mind.
Don't think that just because you don't know the premise, therefore it's confusing. Heh, I have no clue who Amuro is either or what a double typhoon action has to do with a cafeteria shop. It's just totally nuts.

It's a free game. Get it here: http://yandere.gray7.com/?p=64

Amuro's probably a reference to Gundam, isn't it?

I thought that was what it was. When I selected it, the protagonist started dodging blades before thanking someone named Amuro.

No, I don't understand either.

After finishing the game once?: That was abrupt. Did I get some sort of dead end?

There sure are a lot of endings in this game...

I've gotten a few of them already and here's my continued impressions.

The storylines themselves are pretty weak and flaccid. There's no sex in this game by the way. It's just the strangeness of the world they live in that attracts me.

It reminds me of a weaker version of Crescendo really. Not as tear-jerking, but having the same kind of momentum.

When you said "there's no sex in the game", does it mean that it's SFW?

Are there any psycho lolis in it? The group name, Yandere, caught my attention but I can't find much info on the game itself, never mind the psycho lolis...

I dunno. I explained it earlier. I have no clue what the game is really about.

I just know that the world they live in is upside down or the main character is insane.

Taken from their site:
We’re an eroge/visual novel translation group.

The site name has no meaning. There are currently no plans to translate a game with a yandere girl.
