You could try pcsx2; after I started using the directx 10 video, the framerates really stabilized.

And several hours later, the game has gotten amazingly good.
I would, except for the fact that my computer has a hard enough time just handling old Touhou games and flash for the internet anymore. I will fix that soon with...a new computer!

I will do that as soon as I can have it sent to me. I mean, it is literally almost 1000 miles away. It is not like I can just drive over there on a sunny afternoon, which it is today and about 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

Psh. Don't taunt us with your warm weather.

I'm stuck in the land of ice and snow--although I will say it was warm today, I think it might of reached 40(farenheit). Of course, it will probably be back to cold tomorrow.

Yeah. It will be that way tomorrow I hear as well here. However, it is not like I am foreign to cold weather. I lived in Michigan for most of my life until this point. I am only slightly further south, which seems to be making a huge difference somehow.

so I got the strangest email from Atlus just now.

Subject: ???

my guess is that they're either bringing over devil survivor for the DS (which would be awesome) or Raidou kuzunoha vs King Abandon (since that sort of looks like the Raidou Jack Frost from the first Raidou Kuzunoha game)

EDIT: Oh sweet, they did bring over Devil Summoner 2. preordered.

I finally got my PS2 in the mail! :D I popped in Persona 3, played it for a couple of hours, and I can finally say that this game looks like it will rock! The only problem seems to be the time commitment involved. However, I think I can manage something...

You will love it. Persona 3 is the best JRPG I've ever played, and will probably ever play, ever.

The time investment really is huge though. I say to just play it over a few months.

If you have enough time you can finish it in under a week.

But that's if you don't have a job, etc.

Yeah, better to play it over the space of a few months like I did. You enjoy it a lot more.

Yeah, well, I am "unfortunately" among the gainfully employed right now. I will play it to my heart's content. The only problem that is going to drive me up a wall is the English voice acting. WHY CAN THEY NOT HAVE JAPANESE WITH SUBS?! GRR!!! :x

Uh.

The English voice acting in P3 is among the best I've ever heard. Especially for Junpei. Who is singlehandedly the best character in that game anyway.

Seriously, the only major character who has terrible voice acting is Fuuka, and you eventually learn to just make fun of it. "THAR R THREE ENEMAYS"

Anyway, do you have FES or the original P3? If you don't have FES, you're missing out on The Answer, which has some of the most cathartic moments I've ever experienced in a video game.

I have FES. However, I am an elitist when it comes to getting games that originated from Japan, especially RPGs. Unless they pull a Miyazaki-type of casting, I generally am more likely to want to hear Japanese voices with subs. I get some of my kicks listening to the Japanese and comparing it with the translation.
