So yeah, I'm trying to clean up my hard drive and came across this small game I hadn't played before. It's like an H game with the H and only one route. Really, it's just a story. Anyway a review is in order.

Story spoilers below...

So the story is from the persepctive of an un-named 20 year old who has some circulatory problems. He meets a quiet 22 year old loli in the same infirmary he's in (which is reserved for those going to die). One day they go out on a trip since neither wants to die in the hospital or at home.

Anyway, it tries to be a tear jerker, but I didn't like the main character's way of dealing with things, and the girl also comes across as a bit if a stuck up b*tch until around the end.
Spoiler! :
Also, I hate how she just killed herself in the end. the guy didn't try to stop her at all? Come on...
Oh, I played the voiced version. Seems there's an unvoiced version that has th story told a bit differently. Odd, yeah?

I have never heard of this game before. How long ago did it come out?

It came out in 2005. Here's the website of the translators: http://narcissu.insani.org/

I'll say this again though, it's not really a game but a story.

its a kinetic novel which explores some terminal guy's illness
Spoiler! :
She killed herself because she was about to die anyways and didn't want to die in the hospital. I thought that was fairly obvious. The reason he didn't stop her was a sort of "If you love me you'll let me do this" type thing.

I'm looking forward to the prequel though

Hence the Narcissus reference in the title. *facepalms*

I somehow have heard of this title, acknowledged that it's a great one through intuition, however it's too sad I can't bear to play it. Total tearjerkers are not my thing, not much :?

Hearing the setting is about two terminally ill patients in a hospital who were pondering days before the day of their deaths is also not good for me to hear >_<

Meant to say "without".

Seth,
Spoiler! :
there's no way I'd let someone I like kill themselves, that's what bothered me.

Narcissu was interesting if a bit depressing. I never could understand why they did what they did but then, I'm not
Spoiler! :
suicidal, terminally ill, or insane.
