Keyboard issues

Do you guys know why when I type 'g', the hiragana 'ki' appears? Is it possible to use romaji typing, like in Vista?
Check your IME settings. Somewhere there should be an option for you to switch between kana input (カナ入力) and romaji input (ローマ字入力). Choose the latter.
Alternatively, if you are using a Japanese keyboard, press Alt + [カタカナ].
