Re: Manga translator
zombie the novel? I have bought and read volume 1, rather funny, looking forward to volume 2. Not too bad, but the rest depends on how the story develops.
God!!
You need not forgive me.
For those I love,
The violence brought about by sinful men
Shall now be used once more.
If you were created to save this world,
If there is a single shred of hope left for the future of mankind,
I am very sorry, but, please begone!
You need not forgive me.
For those I love,
The violence brought about by sinful men
Shall now be used once more.
If you were created to save this world,
If there is a single shred of hope left for the future of mankind,
I am very sorry, but, please begone!

sir my mind is blown, too much information and lack of context to understand. hope i can write like that when I'm your age.ainsoph9 wrote:It can. Write a differential equation to model the change of the demographics of the anime market to prove that plot is going to pot. It might take a Markov process with several differential equations to correctly model it. I suggest using a series of Laplace Transforms to simplify the solution to find the general case. If you find a pattern to exist, it might be better to use Fourier analysis to make the curve fit better. If a pattern does not exist, solve piecewise. For the particular solution, solve for the trend over a series of years for the next 50 years, assuming that y(0) is a function of the exponential growth of males (12-25) who like harem, ecchi, plotless anime.

Its not that hard once you realize that the point of the math was at the END.

Re: Manga translator
it's to confuse you. who would use engineering math for demographics? one should use distribution (statistics) math instead.b0mb3r wrote:sir my mind is blown, too much information and lack of context to understand. hope i can write like that when I'm your age.ainsoph9 wrote:It can. Re: Manga translator
Actually, engineering math and demographics often overlap. Engineers do use and analyze statistics and probability, which sometimes includes doing demographic studies to see if a product will be profitable.

Oh man, good thing I suck at probability, and excel at stats lol.

Re: Manga translator
They are often used for signal processing and analysis, but they are not restricted to that. I could potentially take a Fourier Transform of a cyclical series such as temperature patterns to try to model predictions in changes in weather. Likewise, I could use Laplace Transforms to simplify the solving of differential equations for modeling a the behavior of a spring with a weight attached.larethian wrote:Markov I understand, but aint Fourier & Laplace for signals?
Basically, all I am saying is that the model for the equation would be so complex that you would need to do something that goes beyond common sense for math.
Sorry for being an old geezer. Sheesh! In my days, you respected your elders. Nowadays, you young whipper snappers cannot even spell "respect."
