神様のメモ帳 is the actual name (神的记事本 in chinese)
I read the chinese book 1, and was totally fascinated by the book.
It was very enjoyable, and enlightening.
It is a book about NEETs.
Each person has their own way of life, their own problems.
The main character is a NEET gonna-be(labelled by current NEET members) and went through hell.
He suffered the loss of someone important to him, finding how helpless he was, understanding how he is one of those who drove that important someone to the way things are now, volunteered to take drugs, and at the end to realise what is the truth... be it good or bad to him...
The tone of the novel is rather dark, yet it lightens up by the actions and things that they say.
I highly recommend it! I love it so much i would translate it, if my english standards are good enough... but nope, too many words i dont know how to translate in there T.T
Whoever gets a chance to come across this novel, i recommend you to read it

P.S. this is but a personal opinion.

Well,you can for one thing,suggest it as a project,and other translators might pick it up(though I doubt it,since the debit of projects greatly surpasses the debit of translators).

LOLz i am doing translation too, so i know how tough it is, besides this book is a big challenge from what i see, i wont ask people to attempt it unless they want to, and yes, more translators are needed... sighz...

So this one is good? Thank god I pick up the 6th volume when I saw it in my local kinokuniya XD(I really thought I lost my mind at that time since I pick the 6th volume before searching whether this one is good or not or buying the 1st volume instead XD). So is this series a detective novel or a supernatural mystery novel? And I agree that Gosick adaptation was really disappointing. Granted, I haven't read the novel, but for a detective series, the mystery aspect in the anime is really..... dry.

doesn't contain anything supernatural.... unless... yeah, there is a gigolo-ish NEET who lives from women. that's supernatural.
I won't get my 6th copy until Amazon decides to ship it for once!(its been 4 days in 未発送 ¬.¬), but haven't even started 5th yet ^^

Kamimemo doesn't focus on the mystery. most of the time in over Narumi' thoughts. the mystery is the context where it happens, but the best point of the novel is the characters and how meaningless and ordinary situations and actions of mere NEET actually solve a case.

for this to rank 10th last year without an anime bodes well.
