Man that sucks. I'm not a big fan myself, but I know a few friends who love the heck out of that series. Ah well. "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" as they say.

Well, I can only cross my fingers for the author to write another main series that is a sequel to the first. >.<

I wouldn't mind something in the vein of A Certain Magical Index to A Certain Scientific Railgun.

Not sure that'll work, unless the author can build new characters that can replace the old ones.

If the author couldn't create new compelling characters, he wouldn't be much of an author I should think.
Besides, if he took a year or so to collect his thoughts, I'm certain he could make an entirely new storyline that is connected to the main plot. :D

Let's hope he does so. What I mean is, he'll need the create new characters that are more compelling than the previous series', or the new series will feel rather bland. This shouldn't be too easy, as the old characters have been rather entertaining.

Gosh, are you serious!?!?! Damn I just read the afterword myself and saw that sentence in the final line

I really thought that the series had the potential to last quite a little longer. Looking at how volume 10 ended, it could possibly expand out in terms of the storyline.
Spoiler! :
Well I guess since the main goal of the main characters from the start was to win class A, and since they already practically won class A in volume 10, maybe the author has already considered his story as nearing the end.
I actually thought that the author will continue up till they graduated from school. Damn wishful thinking on my part eh?

Hope that it will turn out like you guys said, with a sequel coming our way :D Hopefully they will still include the current main characters because they are seriously interesting, in addition to new characters to spice up the story.
Don't you just love reading? I think it is one of the joys of life, where we can escape the cold reality of the world and exist in something so much more fun and exciting! ^_^

Look on the bright side, I read somewhere that Season 3 is announced, the date isn't confirmed yet.

Original novels don't qualify for caught up, they are the latest they can be...
I've been sorting and adding details to viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4202.
Blade Dance appears twice btw.
