Military pay. I basically spend only on my otaku interests and food....so I get by.

I get extras from shooting practice and shooting competitions...being the top marksman in the company helps. Nah....I'm promoted as far as I will ever go before my service ends at the start of next year...

And on topic...honestly, I don't see why the hell should Japanese LN and VN creators widen their exports overseas when they fare well enough on their own. Seeing the retarded comments by foreigners who either know jack shit or have too different tastes so as to be unable to appreciate them on these subjects; I can't help but think that Minori may have the right idea.

Why serve to a market that will only condemn your works? Wastes money and profits nothing. Change to suit their tastes? For what? Not like the industry is going to collapse any time soon despite what all those doomsayers claim (because if one major industry folds entirely, you can be sure the entire national economy is most likely in severe, severe crisis and more will follow) it will be thus like changing your culture or beliefs just because someone is pressuring you to do so.

If certain outsiders want them that badly then they can either learn the language or find other means. If they really love the stuff enough, then that would be a minor hindrance at best.

If there is any profit in it which I doubt...before you export outside you need to spend a fair amount on groundwork like advertising, contracts with partners, translation costs etc...

Actually, there are pretty much four kinds of 'literature' in my mind. The Asian one(Japan, China, India, etc.), the Arab one, the English-speaking one, and the rest.
