I thought the guy was a good singer and looked for other songs he did; it seems he's actually really popular. And a pretty boy to boot

or a pretty girl...

Yeah, it's the same person. Suprised me, at least. He was in another band, and it seems that a lot of old pictures of him are girlish.

Yeah I like Gackt. I first heard of him through an AMV to the song Redemption. I'm getting into more and more JP music.

Its good stuff.

Gackt is a fag.

His house has 0 windows because he wants to keep his skin white.
He dresses like a fag and writes emo like songs, and really really mushy love songs.
He looks like a girl.
He takes himself WAAAY too serious LOL

For starters, Gackt is not gay. There is footage of him on TV where he talks extremely comfortably about girls and some other more explicit topics concerning them.

Also, Gackt is another sad case similar to that of Michael Jackson. The reason he changed his figure was because he thought that he was not pretty enough.

As for his dress, well, let's just say he is a by-product of Visual Kei, which bands like X-Japan and Psycho L'Cemu were a part of.

In response to his music and lyrics, I cannot disagree at least with his later stuff. His earlier stuff was much better because he still had the Malice Mizer sound.

Gackt is the greatest J-Rocker! I love him! Great singer and actor.
Favorites songs: Lust for blood, Redepmtion, Ash, Dooms day, Vanilla, Sayonara, Seki-rei, December love song, Farewell...I think all the songs are my favorite ^_^'
The film with Gackt (Moon child) is the greatest!

I like Gackt and all, but I wouldn't place him as the greatest rocker ever...

I think hide from X-Japan is better in some ways, but it is too bad he is not alive anymore to prove otherwise...

Although I have run into people who have been to Japan and asked native Japanese people if they were familiar with Gackt and replied, "No," I have heard that he is actually quite famous. I have heard that has sold out the Tokyo Dome, which I believe seats over 1 million people. I am unsure on that number though.
