Comiket

Post by ainsoph9 »

Well, it is that time of year again. Comiket 79 just happened with a record breaking attendance of over 520,000 people attending. For those of you who are unaware of what Comiket is, think of it as the biannual doujinshi market convention where you can get video games (a lot of really good underground ones), manga (mostly hentai  ), music (usually Touhou-based), and other goods while you can cosplay and do whatever. Anyhow, it looks like some of the stuff there this time was good. Much of it you can find on the internet as well.

Nah. I just know how to reap the rewards of it via the internet. Given the policy here, PM me if you want to know how to do so as well, but some of the content (specifically the manga) is NSFW. However, I would argue that the music and video games are a mixed bag but should be tried anyhow. Seriously, where else are you going to find a full orchestra playing "Hare Hare Yukai" or a Umineko fighter?

It did come out, but unless you are fluent in Japanese, you will probably not be able to play it enjoyably. I will PM you.

This is a necropost and not a necropost. Comiket 80 is happening right now. Anybody got anything that they are looking forward to?

For me, it is obviously at least Touhou 13, some of the music, the Touhou Memories of Phantasm anime, and some of the games. Much of the doujinshi is just pr0n, so I am foregoing that.

Half of the stuff that comes out of Comiket nowadays is Touhou. The newest official game was released there though this Comiket, not to mention the dump load of doujinshi and music.

the only thing I 'look forward' to is a doujin written by my favorite author, Kagami Takaya. though I know not how to get it legally except through maybe animate through a proxy.

There are some places to get stuff legally that debuted at Comiket, but they are relatively far and few in between, not to mention the fact that they usually charge exorbitant prices, especially compared to what you pay at Comiket. Your best shot of getting something from Comiket is going there with a game plan, lots of water, a wad of cash, and lots of energy and endurance to literally sweat it out. Basically, become Konata.
