And his final line is pretty touching considering what he just went through

The main reason Captain America ended like it did was to lead into the Avenger movie....they could've done it with any of them....

It is.

Speaking of anti-Nazi stuff, I just saw a documentary on Netflix called "Ever Again," which is about how Antisemitism continues to propagate itself in the modern world, mostly throughout Europe and the Middle East. The movie attempts to link Nazi fascism to Neo-Nazi fascism and Muslim fascism/fanaticism. It is produced by the Simon Wiesenthal Center. The viewer gets to hear "straight from the horse's mouth" what various groups and individuals from different walks of life have to say about Antisemitism.

The movie was very interesting and informative, but one has to take into account who has made the movie: an interest group that fights Antisemitism. The movie tends to focus in on the Muslim fanaticism in Europe and the Middle East and only later really tackles Neo-Nazism. At about 73 minutes, this movie suffers from not going after other sides of Antisemitism in a more conclusive manner. Hence, some may walk away from this movie thinking that it is anti-Muslim. However, one of interviewees in the movie says that it about being anti-ideology.

Regardless, this movie is definitely worth watching. I gave it a 4/5 on Netflix.

That's not the point.

The thing with Captain America is that he literally has to give up everything to be an Avenger.

I mean, it just wouldn't have been the same ending if it was, the Hulk or Thor, or even Ironman. It only works because it's the one of the few selfish wishes he has as Captain America.

And it ended like that because the original comic ended like that

Could you really call such self-sacrifice selfish though? Sure. He gets to live another day, but doing out of self-sacrifice is whole different story.

I meant his "I had a date" line was the selfish thing though it might not seem that selfish

Does it not depend on whether he loves her or not?

Then, would it not be safe to assume that it is not selfish, since love cannot be selfish by definition?

Just finished it. I have a mix feelings more leads toward a positive side. I can understand why people love and hate this movie. I felt the movie in terms of directing was not up to modern date instead it intentionally made it shown as an older movie. Cheesy costume, cheesy lines, cheesy direction. Yet I felt the cheese serve the purpose of being its age. I really enjoy Captain America's character: the little guy who won't stand for bullies.

I just watched another documentary called "Imaginary Witness: Hollywood and the Holocaust."

I gave it 5/5 stars on Netflix.
