I don't get this whole AMV thing as well...

Brushing aside the obvious copyright infringement issues, what is copy pasting audio and video clips and claiming it as your own supposed to imply? Creativity? Brilliance? The ability to press ctrl-c and ctrl-v well? The supposed limit to which Mac technology can go?

It's not their song, not their art, hell, most AMV's out there are just repeated mashes using software based predone effects, they can't even put in a little effort into designing self-created transitions! It's pathetic!

Not quite as pathetic as 30 year old men playing Pokemon trading card games though.

However, I really liked this one Evangelion AMV with a polka song. Hehe, polka. And that was only because the song was funny. (They did NIN in polka!!!)

I don't praise the person who put it together too much. I just enjoy seeing dramatic/funny scenes from animes put to different songs to create a certain mood or feeling about it. They also help put that flame back in me that makes me go watch the series over again. Like right now I'm re-reading all the books and will watch the Haruhi series through for a 5th time. Stuff like that is why I like to watch AMVs.

Holy Necro-posting. Yeah, sorry QCTX, I posted Skittles quite some time ago. But I'm glad people share my views on it being one of the best AMVs ever. Not just due to it being SHnY but also because of the superb editing job.
