Is this alternate Itsuki? He seems to fit the personality that was given in Volume 8. This is from Volume 9, by the way.

Was based off an unpublished short story he wrote.
Think it was said earlier in this thread, or atleast somewhere here.

The art is awesome! The dress texture looks like something taken from a 3D model.

However, the end is very surprise......of Haruhi.

Hmm LQY,
Spoiler! :
Could you please explain what do you mean by Alpha and Beta endings? Does that mean that Chapter 1 has 2 endings, and the Alpha and Beta chapter 2s pick up where the endings left off?
Sorry for my utter stupidity

Well, you need to see the novel,
Spoiler! :
This is a example of Alpha Section:
This is a example of Beta Section:
While you read, you must know the Alpha Section is go Alpha story line, do not mix up with Beta story line. That's why the novel is titled "Splitting" because you got two different and parallel storys in one book^^
Of course, if I was right, some of the project translators in here are already got a copy of book, right?

I don't think so. Only a few of the translators can read Japanese, one of them being Bakafish who implied he doesn't have a copy yet.

Normally the publisher will give 3 month as period to translator for finishing a project. However, by the law, Taiwan Kadokawa must buy the copyright from Japan Kadokawa before the translation and it might take 1-3 months for dealing.
Although they are same company, the process must be followed, thanks to WTO
After the translation, the editor must finish editing in 2 or 3 weeks. Finally, the printing process will finish in 2 weeks.
Therefore, if Taiwanese people are lucky, they can see v.9 after 5-8 months.
BTW, I think I will wait the International Book Festival in Taipei next year, I am sure I can got both v.9 and v.10 in Chinese version^^
Or you can wait so-called 'the Motherland Version' from Chinese website XD

3 months per book eh... So that means 8 x 3 months = 24 months = roughly 2 years for them to finish translating them.
We got them done by a year and a half
Back on topic, I want to read Haruhi too, but fortunately I've got GOTH to keep me occupied until then
