It doesn't necessarily mean it's Haruhi who is being surprised. Astonishment can also be used to describe a person/object.

It could simply mean that Haruhi does something suprising.

The set release date of the 10th novel is April 1st, though. I would approach that with a grain of salt.

10th volume comes out sometime in the summer.

Too bad it won't be translated by then (laugh).

As for the 10th novel, the thing I'd like to see most is Haruhi and Kyon starting to get together, or Haruhi getting a stronger inkling that something is "wrong" and suspecting the existance of fantastical beings.

Well i like the title of "the break up of Haruhi Suzumiya". Though I guess division is less dramatic. Though it would be better with the first title. Haruhi has a nervous break down? I wonder where the author got that idea hmm? maybe after reading a certain doujin?

but [Generic Manga Plot 5] needs to get some page time too. HOw about a volume with [Generic Manga Plot 6]? That would be interesting seeing as how that one is only used in 20 other mangas instead of 50

Hai-kun. Just imagine they put "I'm a flaming idiot talking nonsense" at the top of each of their posts. It should make sense then.
