I haven't seen any link of author's notes like the previous novels.
Are author's notes in this novel?

To my knowledge, no.
The Author's Notes for both volumes will be included in Vol. 10, methinks.

I am sure I have mentioned this before three months plus back but anyway...
there is no author's notes for V9. the author's notes will probably be in V10, where this story arc would end.
