Status of Project

Due to the announcement of the "imminent" release of this novel series by a western publisher, this project will be subjected to the
Published Locking Policy.
At the moment no known copies of the novel have yet to be distributed or commercially available for purchase, but when the time comes the corresponding chapters/volumes will be locked from further editing.
However all
unpublished chapters/volumes will be open for further editing and translations.

Well, I have yet to be able to find any copies of this novel on Amazon.com or on the net yet, but when I do, i will update the status on the wiki project page.
However translations can still be continued until then.

Hello,
there has been a lot of rumors about Del Rey licensing the Japanese novel "Kara no Kyoukai - the Garden of
Sinners" and releasing the first volume sometime in 2009.
Since the year's over and there hasn't been any official announcements made regarding this novel, I wanted to ask
if it is going to be released anytime soon.
A lot of people - at least I have this impression - have been eagerly awaiting news on this topic so we'd be happy
to hear anything about it.

As the Baka-tsuki locking policy is enforced when a book gets a release date, I'm assuming a translator can still work on any of KnK novels if they were willing?

So since Del Rey is pretty much no more, what are the chances of this continuing?? Perhaps wait for Kodansha USA's license list first?

Alright, I exaggerated a bit. Del Rey's Kodansha series have been moved to Kodansha USA. But Kodansha USA has shown no signs of light novels being released. Kodansha USA actually just updated their site with more than just a short 'about us' page too. Del Rey itself has been expanded to graphic novels too since they are doing much less manga. Either way, Kodansha USA has announced releases all the way up to Fall 2011... and no KnK (nor my final three volumes of Suzuka >.<)

Sorry I am posting as a guest here, I'm going to ask if you guys are going to continue the novels? I mean there hasn't been any indication of the series being licensed anymore since Del Ray died and hasn't been mentioned by the successor either.
