I did some looking around and I think it's not licensed. I would really like to see the novel translated for a few reasons. According to the en wiki, there's 9 volumes. I watched the first two episodes and I already think it's really good, but knowing Gonzo, it's gonna make up a really crappy and abrupt fake end. I would like to see the series end in a way the author made to to be. I also want to see how the original was.
Well, that's my take on it. Hope someone decides to pick it up.

Yeah, public raw linking is frowned upon here. (emphasis on "public")
That aside, the story seems interesting. Not the wind arts, fire arts stuff, but just the fact that he got his place unsurped by a girl, and now he returns strengthened possibly looking for revenge (?), and that there looks to be some romance later with said girl. Nice conflict of emotions there! So unless the story turns out to be incredibly bad, I think I'll translate one chapter/prologue ... probably no more than 40 pages worth. There's no way I'm going to attempt to take this on as a project though... all my translations in the forseeable future are belong to Morino ... and possibly Takasu Ayako.
