As of now, it should be 3/4 done. One particular rule I would hope everyone would abide by is that we don't ask about this chapter.

Dumb question, but which parts of the novel does the anime actually cover?

I have this feeling that the anime tore up the story just like Kamimemo, but it should still have preserved some sense of chronology... :?:

Kami-memo's chronology was 2-4-X-1. Cant be more mixed up than that.

I actually think that Haganai keeps the chronology, but jumps chapters, simply, just like Seizon.

For those wondering when the current season of the anime left off. It seems it leaves off at the end of the 1st chapter of the 4th volume.

in this LN I notice that whenever you-translator san mention Saint Kuronika school you use "Mission school"

imo this is not the right word to use in this case

I think "Missionary school" is the right choice of word that should be used thoroughly

not "missionary training school", nor "mission school" but "missionary school" - a school initially founded by missionary and teach by missionary, it heavily include religious and history in it's course

here is an example:

Yeah, numt's right. I go to a missionary school, too, though the common use would be probably "christian" or "catholic" school.

EDIT: Huh? I read the wrong username? Well, whatever.

I'm not a translator of haganai, but I think you're right. Thank you for the heads up and taking the trouble to point it up. I'm sure there are many mistakes (mostly unintentional) across projects but most people are just too lazy to do anything about them, so I applaud you for taking the initiative. :)

Hello, I'm new here but I'm also fan of Haganai LN and would like to ask opinion about inconsistency in Haganai chapters hosted here.

In volume 1,7 & early part of volume 2 all names are eastern order, while later part of vol.2 & volume 3-4 all have western name order. I understand and respect translator's choice of name order. But when there's inconsistency across several volumes, I want to know what is community's opinion about this.

Thank you all translators & editors here at Baka-Tsuki for bringing Haganai LN to English audience.

Personally, I'm always putting the western order, since it's obviously English. Though I don't know for others.

Guess it depends on the translator. For me, I use the Japanese way since it's one less thing I have to think of to switch around all the time, and that gives me brain power left over to translate other important stuff. That's similar to the reason I add -san and stuff honorific, so I don't have to waste time and think of a way to convert them into English.

I noticed in the incomplete pool chapter Sena is written referring to her father as "daddy" - I thought this was inconsistent as I'm pretty sure she only refers to him as "Papa".

or am I mistaken?

It basically means the same thing but the use of the word differentiate between translators on what that person's preference is.
