Maybe because I didn't advertise myself? Then again, it's pretty good pay. US 20 cents per word.

Is that per word before translation or after?

Either way, you could buy out all the U.S. translation companies if you started getting that.

The problem is convincing the companies that, if you were to localize the book for whatever location, they would make a profit.

I didn't necessarily mean light novels, did I?

They want a portfolio, B-T's my portfolio.

Well, here's an illustration. 20 cents per word (including tax). Index has an average of 75,000 words. Translated 11 volumes in all for that series (with 2 by bits). Baka Test has an average of 65,000 words (completed 3 volumes). IS has an average of 62,000 words (3 volumes). Shana has about 70,000 words (2 volumes).

Question of the day: How much did I earn?

That is one crazy expensive electric bill.
Spoiler! :
Also, without tax, that's 104,200 dollars. Maybe you should turn off your TV, computer, microwave, and 30 hot water heaters every once in a while.

Relax, that's for how much I spent during my time on B-T.
Darklor wrote:But that wasnt your question! You should have asked: How much did you lose.
That would be too obvious. Also, you either win (earn) or you lose stuff.

That's just some random logic.

Well, in a way, yes.

Anyways, here, it's 6.88 cents the kWh. In my case, I'm happy with the price.

While we're on the subject of electricity may I mention that in UC, all mobile suits do not run of ultra combact batteries anymore. Now they use Minsovky particle reactors.

Why are both of you so off topic? We're talking about electricity costs here.

I've never seen that really come into play with any Gundam series that I've seen. I know that they always explain the principles behind the Gundam, but, never saw them run out of a battery or anything like that. (Unless there is some way to rig a particle reactor to blow up.) Yet, fighting in space, there are no particles, so there is still a limited fuel supply. :?
