We'll go with that then I guess. I think there were two references in chapter 2 to the shinai, so they just need to be edited from 'bamboo xxx ---> shinai"

working on the next part today, because I really have no better way to spend christmas...though I do Skype family at 10pm my time here, 8am their time christmas morning :)

...hmmm...what should I eat for dinner tonight.... :?:
I was working during the night of 23-25th T_T
And what's worse, all of the part-timer was men, no woman at all :((

If I recall, Krikit made a post regarding his translation going where the manga translations ended? That spell you mentioned...
Spoiler! :
Lamulu: Sand magic... It is the word for Sand, or something similar... As for its uses, if you prefer me to give you spoilers, just post, or else i shall leave it up for the story to reveal its uses.
Good luck with your translations!!

Okay, it's been forever O_o.

But if you're one of the few that reads this post, and happen to want a detailed synopsis about Volume 1 that doesn't give Too much away, then check this out:

http://www.light-novels.info/reviews/PuiPui1.pdf

it's in pdf format, so I hope you can read it, but it's the summary for Volume 1 that I came up with.

Spoiler about the sand ability Sierra gets:
Spoiler! :
So I finally read it, lol. Part of Volume 2 as well. Aparently she just summons a bunch of sand...O_o in Volume 2, it pretty much buries Yuuya, and knocks him out, which is lucky and a useful ability give the situation, lol. But I'm not too clear on how it was used in Volume 1, my Japanese still isn't that great...can you tell me at all?

Spoiler! :
Sand is also believed to bring about slumber... What was it? Powerpuff girls? placing sand over one's eyes would make one doze off? something like that. It conjures up sand for whatever purpose that it can do, and she learns a new spell in vol 2, if i recall. All the weird things that she encounters LOLz

As for how it is used exactly in vol 1, well, I would need to read it up, so can you instead try pointing me near where you have problems understanding? or else i will have to re-read the entire volume to tell you the details.

lol...I feel kinda bad for taking so long...O_o

throw in working now, school, and the events I've had not to mention getting ready for June exams, it's been rather busy. Plus I've been overdosing on Anime O_o

But I've got a week long vacation now, so I'm hoping to finish chapter 3 today, and with the addition of trabius for as long as he'd like, the pace should pick up :)

I've got to stop writing in the forums and get to work

Well it was last month I think, but I went through a One Piece craze, and ended up watching...wait, it was February. All 391 episodes at that point, of One Piece. It was like, 5 hours a day, lol O_o

Recently, it's been one episode of random series, Toradora!, Chrome Shelled Regios, To Aru Majitsu, Guin Saga, the list goes on. I know TD and TAM aren't airing anymore, but I would just watch lots of stuff. though now that I think of it, I was really more busy with my Mom being here in Japan for 2 weeks, which is why I didn't do anything during that time.

But pretty much One Piece drew me away from the translations, and I haven't gotten into the habbit since, lol.

Chapter 3 is finished! And at the very end, we are left with some major foreshadowing for what happens next O_o

(I say major, but it won't mean anything to you until you reach that part of chapter 5.)

Anyway, enjoy the read! :)

Seriously though, it's the first time I tried translating without using the OCR program. During the few ten minute breaks at school, I pulled out the novel and a notebook, and translated then and there. First time I've done that. There were quite a few times I got lost on a Kanji or so, so I just made a mark, and translated that on the computer with the OCR page and scans. All in all, it goes alot faster O_o. I just happened to start when Shadow finished Volume 2, lol...now all we've got left is chapter 5, for Trabius, which given my release times, he can release whenever.

I think though, sadly, I will be taking a break from translations of anything for a while. At least until my exams are over on June 21st. Until then, I have wa~y too much work to do.
